6 Trending Wedding Color Palettes for Summer 2025 That You Need to Know About

Choosing a color scheme for your wedding might seem overwhelming at first. Along with thinking about how these colors will look throughout your big day, you’ll also want to make sure your chosen shades work well together. While there’s nothing wrong with a classic blue-and-white combo for a summer wedding, there are plenty of fresh and unexpected palettes to explore. This year, more couples are blending timeless hues with bold, vibrant accents. By picking a mix that reflects their personal style, they’re creating celebrations that feel modern, romantic, and uniquely theirs.

No matter what palette you go with, one trend is clear: bright colors are having a moment. “Vivid, bold shades are definitely popular for summer weddings right now,” says Rebecca Lang, owner and lead planner of L3 Events. “Think soft pinks, sunny yellows, and rich jewel tones.” If this sounds appealing but you’re not sure how to make it work with your venue and décor, focus on one standout color. “To use bold hues without overpowering the design, pick one key shade—like blue, orange, or yellow—and build around it,” suggests Brielle Uszenski, wedding planner and owner of I Do Planning. “For example, choose blue bridesmaid dresses or add blue glassware or napkins to each place setting. You can also bring in patterned linens or colorful stationery to tie everything together.”

Below, experts share the top wedding color trends for summer 2025. From breezy coastal pastels to warm creamy neutrals, here are all the gorgeous combinations to consider for your wedding.

Soft and Creamy Neutrals

“Ever since Pantone named Mocha Mousse the color of the year, our brides have been loving these gentle neutrals,” says Trista Croce, founder and CEO of BTS Event Management. Other vendors are noticing the same trend. Jennifer Tello, owner and lead planner of Amorella Events, says she often sees these neutrals paired with a light yellow, adding a subtle pop of color among the soft browns, grays, and whites. “Romantic, minimalist, and timeless—this palette is perfect for modern weddings with natural tones and a luxe, airy feel,” she explains.

Coastal-Inspired Pastels

Lang says she’s noticing more couples choosing soft pastels for summer weddings. “Think coastal blues, delicate lemon tones, and muted sage greens,” she adds. Tello calls this look “coastal calm” because of its soothing vibe. Along with these soft pastels, she’s also seeing neutrals like café browns and alabaster woven into the palette. “This combo creates a relaxed, breezy atmosphere—ideal for tropical, coastal, or beach weddings. It feels fresh, natural, and effortlessly elegant,” she says. To bring this look to life, she suggests mixing dried and fresh elements, like white flowers, eucalyptus, bleached ferns, and beige grasses throughout the venue. “Add warmth with amber string lights and lanterns for a cozy glow in the evening,” she recommends.

Pops of Chartreuse

“We’re seeing a lot of bold colors, especially bright chartreuse accents,” Croce says. While summer weddings often lean toward vibrant shades, she notes that this is the first year chartreuse has really taken off. To incorporate this zesty hue, she suggests using it in cocktail napkins, welcome signs, dance floor designs, and custom menus. Even if it’s not your main color, small touches—like place settings or tablescape details—can make it shine.

A Mix of Rich and Whimsical Shades

Tello says more couples are blending soft shades with deeper tones for a garden-inspired romantic feel. Think dusty mauve, citrus orange, soft peach, olive green, and deep moss. She describes this palette—full of vibrant colors and earthy hues—as perfect for a rustic, relaxed celebration. To design with these shades, she recommends lush floral arrangements featuring cosmos, daisies, zinnias, and scabiosa in mauve, orange, peach, and white.

Bright and Bold Combinations

Instead of sticking to traditional pairings, Uszenski says more couples are going for unexpected, high-impact color schemes. “Lately, we’re seeing couples embrace bright, saturated palettes with more confidence than in past years,” she explains. “While neutrals are still popular, there’s a growing love for rich reds, punchy pinks, deep blues, golden yellows, and other shades that go beyond the usual muted tones.” Meredith Falk, founder of GLDN Events, agrees, pointing to bold coral, poppy red, and peach as a particularly trendy mix. “This vibrant, energetic palette pops against neutral backdrops and is perfect for sunset ceremonies or destination weddings,” she says.

A Twist on the Classic Green-and-White Palette

While green-and-white is a timeless wedding combo, Uszenski says some couples are giving it a fresh update by adding hints of blush or magenta. Others are choosing deeper or more saturated versions of green to add richness and depth to their décor. The touch of pink gives this traditional scheme a modern, unexpected twist that feels current.
